The extra-curricular activities at the Educational and Research Center for Foreign Citizens Training are aimed at adapting foreigners to the study and living conditions in the new socio-cultural environment, upbringing the inter-ethnic tolerance, mutual respect, affirmation of moral values, healthy lifestyle, self-organization etc. Teachers of the Center conduct educational and sightseeing tours around Poltava and bus tours to different cities of Ukraine.

The Center operates the "Meridians of Friendship" language club and at its meetings students deepen their knowledge of the language, get acquainted with the traditions of the Ukrainian people, its cultural heritage, as well as narrate Ukrainian students about the history, culture and traditions of their peoples.
