Associate Professor Yuliia Lysanets, from the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology, has received a Fulbright Academic Exchange Program scholarship. She is currently pursuing a research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, USA.
The Fulbright Program, one of the world’s most esteemed academic exchange initiatives, has been sponsored by the U.S. government since 1946 and operates in over 160 countries. This year, 15 scholars from 11 Ukrainian higher education institutions across diverse disciplines were selected for the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program.
Johns Hopkins University, founded in 1876 as the first research university in the United States, is consistently ranked among the top 10 universities nationally (National University Rankings) and 15th globally (World University Rankings).
Yuliia Lysanets' project, "The Features of U.S. Academic English: Comprehensive Guidelines for Ukrainian Healthcare Students and Researchers," is being conducted at the University Writing Program in Johns Hopkins University's Krieger School of Arts & Sciences. The purpose of the project is to develop a comprehensive study guide in academic English tailored to the needs of Ukrainian healthcare students and researchers, focusing specifically on the U.S. variant.
