AN OPEN LECTURE FOR THE FACULTY STAFF OF THE UNIVERSITY OF COVENTRY (GREAT BRITAIN) WAS GIVEN BY THE PSMU RESEARCHERS

On March 8, 2023, the Head of the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences, Vira Dubinina, and the Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology Yuliya Lysanets, gave an open online lecture on the topic "Gender Dimension in Ukraine: A Modern Perspective" for the faculty staff of the University of Coventry (Great Britain). The lecture was held on the request of the administration of the Faculty of Business and Law of Coventry University as part of the interdisciplinary event "International Women's Day", which was held at the British university and aimed to highlight the achievements of outstanding women in various European countries.

During the lecture, the main ideas of famous women - Ukrainian philosophers, writers, educators, who made a significant contribution to the development of gender competence and culture in Ukraine, the formation of the Ukrainian nation and the establishment of democratic values in our society were presented. British-Ukrainian relationship and parallels in gender studies of the XIX-XX centuries were considered.

At the end of the lecture, representatives of the University of Coventry and PSMU joined a lively discussion and exchanged opinions on the material presented in the lecture.
