Participants of the scientific group "Laboratory diagnostics" of students and young scientists at the Department of Physiology, "Laboratory diagnostics" course, had a unique opportunity to present Poltava State Medical University at the International scientific conference of medical students "Medical research in metaverse era", held in Bangkok (Thailand).
The conference was advantageously distinguished by the high professional medical, scientific and technological level of the organization in a hybrid format. For participation, 95 papers were selected, which were evaluated by 40 members of the jury, and 22 international delegates from various higher educational institutions were invited. Such an invitation was also received by the scientific supervisor of the group, PhD in Biological Sciences, Tetiana Mamontova. Speakers were students from different parts of the world, including the Philippines, Indonesia, China, India, Lithuania and Ukraine. The students of PSMU became the only Ukrainian representatives who had the honor to receive an invitation from the organizing committee and feel supported at all stages of participation.
The work presented by Anatolii Miagkohlib in co-authorship with Anastasia Zezekalo, students of the 4th year of the Medical Faculty No. 1, scientific supervisor is Tetiana Mamontova, received the 1st place Diploma, the "Gold Medal" Diploma and a monetary award.
The "Silver Medal" diploma was won by the research presented by Adib Mohamed Mukrish in co-authorship with Serhii Shalnev and Hasan Khairddin, students of the 5th year of study of the International Faculty and the 6th year of study of the Medical Faculty No. 1. Scientific supervisor is Tetiana Mamontova.
Anatoly Miagkohlib shared his impressions: "I am pleasantly surprised by the great effort made by the organizers of this conference! Despite the fact that it was held in a hybrid format, online and on-the-site at the same time, they printed the posters of all online participants and made them public for review. In my opinion, our international colleagues conducted a lot of interesting and applied medical research, which will hardly be forgotten. This is the use of an Indonesian children's rhyme-and-move exercise for the rehabilitation of post-stroke patients. Most of the participating students used the latest diagnostic methods in their research, such as PCR, fluorescence microscopy, ELISA, and even ultrasound of the murine fetus. In my opinion, we have a lot to know and learn from the experience of our colleagues, that is why I definitely want to participate in this conference next year!"
Participation in the conference enriched everyone with new impressions and emotions, the up-to-date knowledge and experience, which the participants shared on the website of the scientific group at the Department of Physiology.
We congratulate the young talents and the scientific supervisor who presented Ukrainian science at the international scientific event.
