In the 2024-2025 academic year, a successful collaboration was established with Johns Hopkins University (USA) through the Fulbright Academic Exchange Program, under which Yuliia Lysanets, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology, is currently completing her research stay.
Dr. Matthew Pavesich, Director of the University Writing Program, and Dr. Deidra Vineyard, Director of the Writing Center at Johns Hopkins University, joined the organizing committee for the 9th International Conference on "Current Issues in Linguistics, Professional Linguodidactics, Psychology, and Pedagogy of Higher Education" (February 12-14, 2025). They also delivered an online presentation titled "Facilitating Writing Agility: Best Practices from Johns Hopkins University."
Additionally, at the invitation of Associate Professor Yuliia Lysanets, Rachel Walden and Sarah Pointon from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine actively participated in the conference. They presented their research "Enhancing Skills in Scholarly Writing for Medical School Faculty: Experience at The Johns Hopkins University, Maryland, USA." In their online presentation and accompanying article, Walden and Pointon examined strategies for improving academic writing skills among faculty members of the School of Medicine, focusing on the methods employed at Johns Hopkins University to enhance the quality of scientific publications.
