On February 8, 2023, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology Yuliya Lysanets gave an online master class "Metaphorical Term Formation as a Challenge for Medical Translation and Cross-cultural Communication" for the students of the University of Warwick (Great Britain) initiated by of the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication of the University of Warwick (Great Britain).

The event was attended by the students of the School of Modern Languages and Cultures who study the theory and practice of translation. During the master class, students learned about the peculiarities of metaphorical term formation in modern medical discourse, mastered key strategies and tactics when translating metaphors in medical terminology. At the end of the event, a lively discussion was moderated by Olga Castro, Associate Professor of the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication of the University of Warwick.
