On October 4, 2024, the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology held an event addressing drug use, a serious challenge for youth and society as a whole. The session was led by department lecturer Yanina Prykhodko for the 5-year students of Group 12 of the International Faculty. The event aimed to foster students’ understanding of the severity of drug use and its life-altering consequences. Emphasis was placed on the importance of making conscious choices, leading a healthy lifestyle, and knowing where to find support if needed.

Participants discussed different types of narcotic substances, their effects on the body and mind, as well as the social repercussions of drug use. Special attention was given to prevention methods and information about organizations offering assistance to individuals in difficult situations.

The event covered both theoretical aspects and practical approaches to preventing drug dependency, underscoring the importance of efforts by all educational process participants to raise awareness among youth about the risks of drug use and to foster a responsible approach to their own lives.
