On April 26, Assistant lecturer of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology, Olena Marchenko, held an online educational class with students of the International Faculty. The class was dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Chernobyl NPP accident. The Chernobyl tragedy is a symbol of the largest man-made disaster in human history in terms of environmental pollution, impact on people's lives and health, and far-reaching socio-economic consequences. Together with the students, the teacher discussed the significance of the accident at the Chornobyl NPP, the risks of new nuclear threats in the context of military operations and issues of nuclear safety, as well as honoured the memory of the victims of the Chornobyl tragedy.
