Tetyana Mamontova, Associate Professor, Ph.D., Department of Physiology, received a grant from the EU Erasmus+ program for the mobility of teachers for an internship in "Laboratory diagnostics" at the Warsaw Medical University, Poland, from June 5 to 9 in 2023.

Exciting interaction with the staff of the Department of Laboratory Diagnostics and Clinical Immunology of Age Development headed by professor Ursula Demkov included meaningful discussions and exchange of ideas during the introduction to the work principles of a modern university laboratory, thereby contributing to further strengthening of ties. This dynamic approach made it possible to exchange opinions and experience regarding a wide range of laboratory research methods, from the simplest general clinical blood analysis, coagulogram, microbiological, biochemical analysis to complex tests such as multichannel flow cytofluorimetry, chemiluminescence, histochemistry, fluorescent microscopy, various modifications of polymerase chain reaction reactions and genome sequencing.

The internship made it possible to learn more about various opportunities, methods of teaching and conducting practical classes in laboratory diagnostics for Bachelors and Masters of the Medical Faculty at the department of the Warsaw Medical University.

Visiting the central library provided an opportunity to expand the scientific search of literature in modern scientific areas while working with Embase and SciVal databases, which Scopus provides to Polish university teachers.

The European university space opens up new horizons in the perspective of academic mobility, expansion of teaching experience and deepening of scientific cooperation between teachers of Ukrainian and Polish universities.
