Tetiana Burya, student of the Faculty of Medicine No. 1 speaks about the clinical cycles program within the framework of the partnership between the University of Glasgow and Poltava State Medical University:
"I completed an exchange period in Glasgow on the basis of one of the best clinics in Scotland, so I decided to describe my impressions of the experience. A different country, new acquaintances, new opportunities and huge experience, we got all this during our 10 weeks of clinical training. We were impressed by the scale of the University Hospital Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the professionalism of the doctors who work there. Despite the large number of patients, they shared their own experience, talked about interesting clinical cases and readily answered all questions, so it was a pleasure to go to classes. In addition, a well-established contact with our supervisors helped us adapt and understand the educational system. Also, students could choose the departments in which they would like to do internship, which has a positive effect on the future choice of specialty. So, in addition to the scheduled disciplines, I also completed training in cardiology, neurology and surgery.
I sincerely wish every student to get the experience of academic mobility abroad because it stays with you for life!
