Every year on December 3, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities reminds the society of the problems of children with special needs, draws attention to a large segment of the population who has a congenital or acquired disability and needs constant care and assistance. And if for adults the Day of Persons with Disabilities is an occasion to focus once again on the problems and ways to overcome the children’s disability, then for the children this day should be exciting and memorable.
And this has traditionally been done by foreign students from India, Iran, Jordan, Morocco, Poland, Turkey, Tunisia, who, together with teachers of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities, visited the Center for Rehabilitation of Children with Organic Nervous System Damage of the Poltava Regional Children's Clinical Hospital of the Poltava Regional Council within the framework of the All-Ukrainian charity event "No Child Left Behind" to congratulate young patients on the upcoming winter New Year and Christmas holidays. Future physicians, students from different countries, presented children with sweet gifts and toys.
The Rector of the PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, the Dean of the International Faculty Liliia Buria and the Head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities Tetiana Leshchenko received the Letter of Appreciation from the physicians and parents of young patients.
