October 25, 2021 marked the 140th anniversary of Pablo Picasso’s birthday – the brilliant Spanish and French artist, humanist. At the meeting with foreign students of PSMU, faculty staff of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities Galyna Kozub and Maryna Zhovnir made presentation about the outstanding artist (in Ukrainian), showed a film (in English), video paintings, told about the main stages of his work, commented on reproductions of the famous paintings by Picasso: "The Girl on the Ball", "Guernica", "Communion", "Self-Portrait" and others. Groups of students with English language of study (16a 2 dent., 17a 2 dent., 24a 2 med. and 18a 2 med.) watched the film with interest, listened to the information, watched the presentation and shared their impressions.
The always relevant humanistic, anti-war pathos of Picasso's picturesque masterpieces, which knows neither temporal or spatial boundaries, strengthened the humanity of each of the future doctors present, and his original creative style did not leave anyone indifferent. Students were asked to perform an extracurricular task - to prepare a story about Cubism, the work of Picasso and find a description of one of his paintings on the Internet.
