On June 6, 2023 the assessment of students of the second (master's) level of higher education of the EPP Dentistry began at the Faculty of Dentistry. This year it is conducted in the form of an objective structured practical (clinical) exam (OSP(C)E) as one of the components of stage 2 of the unified state qualification exam.

The essence of the OSP(C)E exam is to assess the practical and communication skills of graduates in basic clinical disciplines: therapy, surgery, orthopedics and pediatric dentistry. Real, standardized or virtual patients, mannequins, phantoms, devices, equipment, data sets, situational tasks are involved in conducting OSP(C)E. The assessment of the clinical competence of the applicant is based on a comprehensive assessment using stations. The OSP(C)E station is a standardized, equipped place for short-term (5-10 minutes) interaction of the learner with a patient or clinical situation in order to assess the learner's competencies according to a standardized scenario and protocols in conditions close to real ones. There are 12 stations. All participants of OSP(C)E pass the same tests with a sequential transition from station to station in accordance with the developed route sheet. The results of tasks at each station are evaluated according to a checklist.

Characterizing the level of training of graduates of the OPP Dentistry in 2023, it should be noted that it is sufficient and meets the requirements of the qualification characteristics of a dentist. Graduates fully mastered the competencies defined by the educational and professional program and achieved the corresponding program learning outcomes.

We wish you further success!
