On February 12, 2026, the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the academic discipline “Internal Medicine” was held at Poltava State Medical University
After careful selection by the faculty of Internal Medicine Departments No. 1 and No. 2, 30 sixth-year students from Medical Faculties No. 1, No. 2, and the International Faculty advanced to the final stage.
Based on the evaluation of theoretical knowledge, the jury determined the winners:
1st place – Oleksandra Patrash (Medical Faculty No. 1)
2nd place – Yaroslava Vasiuta (Medical Faculty No. 2)
3rd place – Yehor Rybalchenko (Medical Faculty No. 1)
and Mykyta Tovstopiat (Medical Faculty No. 1)
Additionally, the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Internal Medicine (English-language track), organized by Departments No. 1 and No. 2, was held.
The winners were:
1st place – Dinesh Sharma
2nd place – Joshs Kant
3rd place – Amal Khaloufi
In addition to diplomas, the participants received study manuals, which were presented by Professor Ihor Skrypnyk, Program Director of the Medicine curriculum and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Education, and by the Head of the Jury, Professor Ivan Katerenchuk, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 2.
The participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, professional competence, and a strong interest in deepening their knowledge of internal medicine. The Olympiad was held in a friendly and intellectually stimulating atmosphere and became an important part of the professional development of future physicians.
