The Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Associate Professor Kateryna Lokes, completed traineeship as part of the Erasmus+ program (Staff mobility for teaching) at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
During the traineeship, lectures were delivered for students and interns of the Dental Faculty, focusing on oral and maxillofacial surgery. Specifically, topics included purulent-inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region and traumatic injuries to the bones of the facial skeleton and soft tissues of the face and neck. The lectures sparked interest among the audience and facilitated the opportunity to exchange experiences with international colleagues.
Throughout the visit, Associate Professor Kateryna Lokes was introduced with the work of the faculty members at the Dental Faculty of the University of Santiago de Compostela. She participated in clinical case discussions, had the opportunity to assess the conditions for conducting phantom and clinical sessions in the training of students at the under- and postgraduate levels. She collaborated productively with Professor Mario Perez-Sayans and the Deputy Dean of the Dental Faculty, Professor Maria Jesus Mora Bermudes.
