As part of the scientific collaboration between the Institute of Virology of the University Hospital Essen, University of Duisburg-Essen, and PSMU, on August 25, 2024, Hennadiy Zelinskyi payed a visit, personally accompanying the delivery of test systems for diagnostic equipment.

Hennadiy Zelinskyi visited the Research Institute of Genetic and Immunological Foundations of Pathology and Pharmacogenetics at PSMU and the Communal Enterprise "Poltava Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital" (CE "PCIDH"). During a meeting with Professor Igor Kaidashev, the Vice-Rector for Research; Professor Tetiana Koval; Oksana Shlykova, Director of the Research Institute of Genetic and Immunological Foundations of Pathology and Pharmacogenetics; Alina Kabalei, Junior Researcher of the Research Institute, and Mykhailo Sydorenko, Head of the Laboratory of CE "PCIDH", they discussed directions for further scientific collaboration, the upcoming deliveries of laboratory equipment for the diagnosis of infectious diseases in the region.

The project funding for effective virological and microbiological diagnostics in Poltava was provided by the German Association for International Cooperation (GIZ). This project is part of the emergency program for Ukraine from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
