On April 25-26, 2024, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology Olena Belyaeva and Associate Professor Yuliia Lysanets took part in the 2nd International Interdisciplinary Conference "Main Challenges and Issues of University Education in War Conditions: Ukraine (2022 - 2024)", which was held at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg, Canada).

PSMU scholars made an online report "Teaching Advanced English during Wartime: Previous Experience and Future Directions", which presented the experience of teaching English (Advanced Level) to PhD students during the russian invasion.

It was emphasized the effectiveness of using the educational learning platform of PSMU, the use of authentic audiovisual materials (TED Talks, Voice of America, British Council, Cambridge English Language Assessment, etc.), interactive quizzes and surveys (Slido, Padlet, Kahoot, etc.), as well as the involvement of students in massive open online courses (FutureLearn, Open University, Coursera) and guest online lectures by foreign partners.
