Recently, Ruslan Lysenko, Professor of the Department of Surgery No. 1, has been undergoing practical training in the specialty "Surgery" at the Medical University of Warsaw as an exchange academic within the Erasmus+ program from 01.04.2024 to 05.04.2024. He met and got acquainted with Dr. Michal Grant, the Head of the clinic, and the staff of the Department of General and Transplantation Surgery. They discussed issues of prospective clinical and scientific cooperation on modern achievements in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of abdominal surgery, in particular, oncological surgery, hepatobiliary surgery. Prof. Lysenko was introduced with the work of the Medical University of Warsaw, in particular, the Department and Clinic of General Surgery, Liver Transplantation and Surgery. This is the largest center for liver surgery and transplantation in Poland, where up to 180 liver transplants are performed per year, and he also had the opportunity to observe the peculiarities of morning medical conferences, rounds, the work of the operating room, operations and the educational process in the clinic. He gained new experience in performing video laparoscopic operations in oncology.

The information obtained will be further disseminated among colleagues, used in scientific activities and implemented in the educational process and practical health care.
