Impressive pictures of the love for Ukraine have been taken by foreign students, who learn Ukrainian language at the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities of the Poltava State Medical University, on the occasion of the Vyshyvanka Day celebration.

Foreign students of the International Faculty joined the celebrations by wearing national Ukrainian attire or clothes with embroidery.

“Language, faith, song, flag, vyshyvanka (embroidered shirt) are all symbols of Ukraine”, the students say. Teachers of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities believe that such a holiday is a great opportunity to acquaint foreign first-year students with the culture and traditions of Ukrainian people.

The pictures taken by international students show that, despite our forced temporary distance in a pandemic, we are the united family of the PSMU, a renowned Ukrainian higher education institution, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
