From November 25 to 29, 2024, Associate Professor Nataliia Ilenko-Lobach from the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry at Poltava State Medical University participated in the international traineeship under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility program at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece. The traineeship took place at the Department of Periodontology and Implantology, led by the incredibly energetic and positive Professor Dimitra Sakellari.

During the traineeship, Nataliia had the opportunity to personally meet and engage with the Director of Aristotle University’s School of Dentistry, Professor Athanasios Poulopoulos, as well as department heads, professors, and associate professors from the university’s teaching staff. The experience included a comprehensive tour of the university’s facilities, including phantom labs, lecture halls, clinical rooms, operating theaters, and research laboratories. She also gained insight into the curriculum, material resources, and distinctive teaching and learning methods at one of Europe’s largest universities.

The calm and measured pace of life in Greece, the kind and sincere colleagues, the open-minded students, the welcoming atmosphere, the advanced facilities, and the uncompromising standards of education left a lasting impression. These experiences fostered a strong motivation to pursue further development and elevate the standards of domestic education to a European level.
