LIFESTRAND first aid training for teachers of Poltava Region Communities is the knowledge, practice and readiness to act. Therefore, on August 18–21, 2025, intensive first aid training sessions were held for teachers of Shcherbany Lyceum and Rozsoshentsi Gymnasium within the framework of the international LIFESTRAND project of the Erasmus+ program.

Over the course of several days, participants not only gained theoretical knowledge but also practiced practical skills using modern simulation equipment. A key part of the training involved situational scenarios that simulated real emergencies and helped educators rehearse action algorithms in critical conditions.

The program covered the most essential topics: Basic Life Support (BLS); Control of critical bleeding; Transport immobilization in case of fractures; Emergency care for stroke, myocardial infarction, and anaphylaxis; Actions in case of airway obstruction.

The training was conducted by the professional LIFESTRAND instructor team:

Senior Trainers — Volodymyr Koka, Ihor Pratsko, Yuliia Cherniavska;

Junior Trainers — Aliona Turnaieva, Alina Davydenko, Amaliia Asoian, Oleksandr Ordiunov, Danylo Ovcharenko.

At the end of the training, participants shared their impressions, noting not only the practical benefits of the sessions but also their crucial importance for preparing educators to act in emergencies — especially in the current conditions of the russian-Ukrainian war, when the ability to provide timely first aid can save lives.

The LIFESTRAND project at PSMU continues to strengthen the system of first aid training in Ukraine, making it accessible to various communities and promoting a culture of safety in society.
