On May 18-19, 2023, as part of the celebration of Science Day, an extraordinary event took place at PSMU – the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Trends in Learning and Teaching Foreign Languages."
The conference was attended by representatives from 10 foreign universities from the United Kingdom, Spain, Poland, Romania, and Sri Lanka: University of Warwick (United Kingdom), University of La Rioja, Logroño (Spain), University of Rzeszow (Poland), Institute of Neophilology, University of Bielsko-Biała (Poland), Institute of Pedagogy, University of Rzeszow (Poland), Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, Bucharest (Romania), University of Sri Jayewardenepura (Sri Lanka), Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, Postgraduate Institute of Management (Sri Lanka), General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University (Sri Lanka). The foreign participants presented 28 presentations in English, Polish, and German languages.
Domestic higher education institutions were represented by 12 universities: Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Bukovinian State Medical University (Chernivtsi), Kharkiv National Medical University, Ivano- Frankivsk National Medical University, Lviv National Environmental University, Lviv State University of Life Safety, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after Mykhailo Tugan-Baranovsky (Kryvyi Rih), Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky Hryhoriy Skovoroda State Pedagogical University, National University “Yuri Kondratyuk Poltava Polytechnic”, Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University and the Agrarian-Economic Vocational College of Poltava State Agrarian University.
It is extremely important that both domestic and foreign students and Master's degree students actively participated in the conference, presenting 14 reports.
The foreign and domestic co-organizers of the conference expressed their sincere gratitude to our Alma Mater for providing an excellent opportunity to participate in this scientific forum, which convincingly demonstrated that despite all the difficulties currently faced by our brave country, scientific life continues!
