Currently, orthopedics and traumatology have the most demand among medical specialties not only in Ukraine but also worldwide.

The faculty staff of the Department of Surgery No.3 at Poltava State Medical University have extensive experience in treating injuries, which they share with higher education students and intern doctors.

The principles of providing emergency assistance are of particular interest both to domestic and international students, including those in English medium of study.

The most active foreign students, who are now staying in Ukraine, attend practical classes in person and participate in patient rounds at the clinic, assist during surgical procedures, and master practical skills in dressing and casting rooms.

In the traumatology and orthopedics clinic at Poltava State Medical University, based at the municipal institution "1st Municipal Clinical Hospital of Poltava Regional Council," conducting general rounds with the faculty staff from the department and practical physicians, along with the students with English medium of study, have certain features: discussing the patient's condition is done in both English and Ukrainian languages, allowing our professionals to practice English, and foreign students to improve their knowledge of our "nightingale language."
