Oksana Dobrovolska, Assistant Professor of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry and Implantology, completed a practical internship under the international academic mobility program "Erasmus+ICM KA107" at the Warsaw Medical University from June 19 to 23, 2023 (Warsaw, Poland).

The study of best practices in the training of future dentists and familiarization with educational programs, in particular, in dentistry for different categories of students, the peculiarities of conducting the OSCE exam, which is used as a form of verification of clinical skills acquired during practical classes, took place at the Department of Orthopedic Stomatology (Katedra Protetyki Stomatologicznej ) of Warsaw Medical University. The department is located on the basis of the university dental clinic.

The University Dental Clinic of the Warsaw Medical University is an opportunity to combine several processes in one medical institution: providing medical care of any degree of complexity to dental patients and training professional personnel. Here, not only the most modern medical equipment is concentrated, but also the possibility of conducting scientific research that meets modern world requirements, the introduction of innovative methods into practice.

Exchange of experience with Polish colleagues regarding prosthetic and functional rehabilitation of patients after oncological interventions and injuries of the facial part of the skull; the use of modern digital methods of rehabilitation of patients with fixed orthopedic structures; shortening the rehabilitation period of patients with dentition defects with the help of dental implants and familiarization with new technologies and methods in modern dentistry for their further implementation at the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry of the State Medical University to ensure effective and rapid rehabilitation of dental patients - all this was part of the internship program.
