From August 25 to October 14, fourth- and fifth-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry at Poltava State Medical University — Kateryna Korviakova, Anhelina Chedryk, Anastasiia Honchar and Arina Khramova — took part in the “Erasmus KA152” youth exchange project. The aim of the exchange was to promote intercultural dialogue, foster a sense of European identity, and, of course, to study at the Faculty of Dentistry of Ankara University (Turkey).

The courses were taught in English, and local students also spoke English fluently, which greatly facilitated communication. During the mobility period, the participants gained theoretical and practical experience in maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, pediatric, prosthetic and therapeutic dentistry. Ankara University makes active use of cutting-edge technologies in dental practice, which allowed the students to deepen their knowledge and master modern treatment methods.

In addition to studying, the students had the opportunity to explore the beauty of Turkey — enchanting Cappadocia, vibrant Istanbul, and sunny Antalya will remain unforgettable memories of the internship.

The “Erasmus KA152” project provides valuable learning opportunities and creates a broad platform for meeting like-minded peers from different countries. The participants gained invaluable professional experience, discovered a new culture, and formed meaningful connections and memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.
