On June 1, 2023, the Head of the Department of Pediatrics No. 2, Professor Tetyana Kryuchko, and the Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology Yuliya Lysanets took part in the International Multidisciplinary Congress "The Child in the World – Today and Tomorrow!", which was held at the Faculty of Health of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu (Portugal) on the occasion of International Children's Day.
The Congress was held in a mixed format with the participation of scientists from Portugal, Brazil and Ukraine. Scientific and pedagogical staff of PSMU presented an online report "Armed Conflict: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in Children", which presented the features of the course, treatment and prevention of post-traumatic stress disorder in children in the conditions of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The report contributed to the popularization of PSMU in the foreign information space and keeping the topic of the war in Ukraine on the agenda of the European community.
At the end of the speech, in the course of a lively discussion, the representatives of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu and PSMU exchanged opinions about the material presented in the report. They emphasized solidarity with Ukraine at the time of the Russian invasion and discussed the directions of further cooperation between PDMU and Viseu Polytechnic Institute.
