Foreign students responded with unspeakable awe and love to the start of the photography project “With Ukraine in our hearts!”, organized by the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities. The war forced foreign students of PSMU to leave Ukraine, from beloved Poltava. Due to the unjustified, inhuman aggression of a russian invader, they were scattered around the world and some of them returned home, and some are still waiting for the end of active hostilities to return to Ukrainian land. Young men and women who have chosen our country, city of Poltava and our native university to study and master the most difficult and noble profession of a doctor, are hurt by what is happening here. They pray and mourn for Ukraine. Thoughts and dreams about it fill the hearts of students with joy, love and faith in our victory and rebirth. In their imagination is a peaceful sky, pre-war everyday life, smiling faces of people, resounding greets “Slava Ukraiini!” and a bright time of victory.
Today, as never before, our country needs prayer, God’s protection and the sincere support of everyone. No war is able to erase the most sacred – warm memories and hopes for the better of everyone for whom Ukraine has become a homeland.
