POLTAVA STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATES IN THE INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM

PARTICIPATION OF POLTAVA STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY IN THE INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM "UKRAINE HIGHER EDUCATION TEACHING EXCELLENCE PROGRAMME"
In 2019, the British Council in Ukraine in the partnership with the Institute of Higher Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Advance HE Center (UK) and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education launched a large-scale project “Ukraine Higher Education Teaching Excellence Programme”.
Poltava State Medical University, being one of the educational flagships of Poltava region, could not stay aside, so in June 2021 the team of our university successfully won the honorary right to participate in this project on the tough competitive basis. Of more than 20 teams representing numerous HEIs from all regions of Ukraine, our team consists of the leader - Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, First Vice-Rector for Research and Academic Affairs, Professor of Prosthetic Dentistry with Implantology Valentyn Dvornyk and participants - Associate Professor of Surgery No. 2 Serhiy Dolzhkovyi, Assistant of the Department of Surgery No. 4 with Minimally Invasive Surgery Dmytro Ivashchenko and Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology Vadym Bodnar presented to the international jury an ambitious project “Advanced Medical Education Hub (AMED hub)”.
The purpose of the project is to create an educational and innovation center at PSMU, which will provide prompt informing of the university community about educational innovations; consolidation of efforts of scientific and pedagogical workers who strive to constantly improve pedagogical skills, master educational technologies, share their own experience, improve the quality of education, join the best European and world practices; formation of the center of continuous pedagogical development in PSMU, which will significantly increase the interest of teachers in the problems of psychology and pedagogy of higher education; prevention of occupational deformities and emotional burnout; development and introduction of flexible modular advanced training, adapted to different contingents and forms of improvement by the type of blended learning (full-time, distance, independent learning); improve scientific and methodological support of professional and pedagogical activity of PSMU educators; finding new domestic and foreign educational, educational and scientific partners, as well as promote closer educational, scientific and practical cooperation with current partners.
