The team of the Department of Pediatric Therapeutic Dentistry at PSMU has presented a new textbook in English titled “Prevention of Dental Diseases”, developed to support the educational process for international students enrolled in the educational and professional program “Dentistry” at the second (master’s) level of higher education, specialty 221 “Dentistry”, in the field of knowledge 22 “Health.”
The textbook covers pressing issues in modern dentistry, including the cariogenic situation in the oral cavity, methods for its detection and prevention, causes of dental caries and periodontal diseases, and ways to address them. It also highlights up-to-date diagnostic methods for dental patients, including WHO-recommended techniques, as well as hygiene tools and products suitable for use in childhood and beyond.
This textbook is well-suited for independent study by students of higher education, dental interns, and practicing dentists.
