Traditionally, the Day of Ukrainian Cinema is celebrated in Ukraine on the second Saturday of September. This year, the faculty staff members of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities, together with foreign students visited the Oles Honchar Poltava Regional Library for Youth and joined the event dedicated to the renaissance of modern national cinematography.
The library staff talked interactively about the wonderful world of cinema and convinced the audience that this art is able to shape the national consciousness.
The tour turned out to be very informative: students learned about the rise of cinematography in Ukraine, stages of its formation and development, its modern prosperity: Ukrainian films are regularly released in domestic cinemas; they are shown at the contests of prestigious world film festivals.
Ahead of our students is the knowledge of Ukrainian national culture, its history, traditions, originality, new unforgettable impressions and emotions!
