International Book Giving Day: On this day, both those who give books and those who instill a love of reading come together. Since 2017, February 14, thanks to the concern and activity of the entire university community, the festive "Gift a Book to the Library" campaign has turned into a large-scale event. The emotions from each gifted book are different. But they are united by one feeling - it's genuine intellectual luxury! It's a must-have and a must-read for the library and its users!

The fact of receiving gifts in the library is an indicator of its prestige and place in the university's life. Therefore, library staff awaited donors with excitement and hope from 9 a.m. in the central reading room. And within an hour, it became clear that the tradition of patronage lives on in the university. The Rector of PSMU, Professor VIacheslav Zhdan, the First Vice-Rector for Research and Education, Professor Valentyn Dvornyk, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Extracurricular Activities, Professor Valerii Pokhylko, heads of the departments, lecturers, students, and staff of the entire university actively participated in the campaign.

On that day, the library received 281 books and 235 magazines. Among the book gifts were scientific, educational, and fiction literature, as well as publications on history, local lore, and art. We are grateful to everyone for their invaluable gifts and good deed. The name of each patron has entered the history of the PSMU library!
