Lecturers of Poltava State Medical University are actively engaged in the implementation of the Erasmus+ international academic mobility program at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki — the largest university in Greece.
Recently, Associate Professor Olena Ivanytska from the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery have finished teaching training at the university’s Faculty of Dentistry. During her time at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, under the supervision of Professor Ioannis Tilaveridis, she attended lectures and practical classes and became acquainted with the university’s academic and methodological practices. She was given the opportunity not only to observe but also to directly participate in surgical procedures.
While communicating with Greek colleagues, there was an exchange of valuable information not only on highly specialized medical issues but also regarding teaching standards at European higher education institutions.
The knowledge gained during the academic mobility will be applied to further improve and modernize the educational process at Poltava State Medical University. International internships are an effective tool for integrating domestic education into the European scientific and educational space.
