Throughout September and October 2025, a series of intensive hands-on emergency care trainings for the civilian population of Poltava took place at the Simulation Center of Poltava State Medical University as part of the Erasmus+ K2 LIFESTRAND programme — “Life Support Training and Dissemination for Higher Education Institutions and Community Representatives Living in Military Risk Areas of Ukraine and Georgia.”
More than 600 participants, including educators and students from Poltava, gained essential practical life-saving skills. The trainings covered techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), control of critical bleeding, transport immobilization, and assistance in cases of foreign body airway obstruction. These skills can make the difference between life and death in the most challenging circumstances.
Under the guidance of experienced senior and junior LIFESTRAND trainers — Serhii Kononenko, Yevhenii Chip, Alina Davydenko, Vladyslav Telegan, Vitalii Drabovskyi, Yaroslav Rybalka, Heorhii Levytskyi, Danylo Ovcharenko, Oleksandr Ordiunov, Amaliia Asoian and Rostyslav Radchenko — the trainings integrated both international and national experience, helping to build strong readiness among civilians to act in emergencies amid the ongoing aggressive war of the russian federation against Ukraine.
To ensure maximum transparency in engaging new partners and effectively communicating the project’s practical value to the wider public, the project team actively carried out outreach and awareness activities aimed at highlighting its progress and initial results.
Heartfelt thanks go to every participant for their enthusiasm, openness, and eagerness to learn, and to our instructors for their dedication, professionalism, and selfless work. Your commitment and desire to make the world a safer place is the true driving force behind our common mission.
Each training held is another step toward building a conscious, prepared, and united community.
