February 12, 2024, will be remembered at the university as the traditional meeting of student activists with Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, the Rector of PSMU.
Indeed, student life is extremely rich in interesting events and every day delights with the diversity of new appearances that need to be discussed. Everything is here: both successes in studying, and, unfortunately, the first failures, and the desire to find at least a moment for student drive and relaxation among friends, and dreams of trips home for those who are far away, and the organization of leisure, as well as the lingering "unfinished business", well, in a word, the trials are quite numerous; everything here takes on significant importance for making student years truly unforgettable and the conditions for studying comfortable! Therefore, the student body's understandable interest in the traditional meeting with the Rector and Deans to discuss everything on their minds and in need of resolution.
The Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, systematically meets with his future young colleagues, and for now, at their student level, he tries to sincerely share invaluable experience on how not to waste a single day of study within the university walls, how to grasp the most valuable – the knowledge and understanding of the meaning of life from their experienced highly qualified teachers. Today's meeting also addressed all the pressing aspects of student life. It was quite democratic; questions pertained not only to studies but also to daily life. And they were asked by everyone who was concerned about anything! From the establishment of the University Clinic and the opportunities it will provide for education and research, to the creation of the correct unified form for documenting medical history, conducting "University Toughening", academic mobility, the legitimacy of implementing personal scholarships, combining the fundamentals of scientific research in one resource with academic integrity, to discussing some conditions of student life, and so on. Rector of PSMU, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan not only answered these and many other pressing questions but also invited participants of the meeting to personally visit him in his office, if necessary, without postponing the resolution of problems for later. And he also reminded them that alongside them are the Deans of the Faculties and all other teachers ready to help in any life situation.
Volodymyr Dobrovolskyi, the Head of the separate branch of the National Independent Student Union Ukrainian Association of Students of Poltava Region, expressed deep gratitude on its behalf to PSMU and, in particular, to the Rector Viacheslav Zhdan, for the University's key role in hosting many significant student events aimed at fostering the national-patriotic spirit of youth in the struggle for Victory! "Together we will overcome all difficulties! Just be moderate in your actions, sensible and critical in information perception, study well, and we will continue our progressive movement forward!" – concluded the meeting Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, the Rector of the university, Honored Doctor of Ukraine, Laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, Doctor of Medical Sciences.
