In May 2023, as part of the GIZ Partnership Hospital Program “Emergency Measures in the Field of Diagnostics of Infectious Diseases, the second cycle of the training program in Microbiology Diagnostics took place. The training was held at the University Hospital Essen, Germany, with the participation of Olena Marchenko, Assistant Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases with Epidemiology at PSMU and employees of the ME “Poltava Regional Clinical Infection Hospital”.  During the TRAINING, the participants were taught the essential diagnostic methods and protocols in microbiology, had practical training on the equipment for automated pathogen identification, determination of their susceptibility to antimicrobial agents, and PCR diagnostics.
