On April 11, 2023, Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Igor Kaidashev and Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages with Latin and Medical Terminology Yuliya Lysanets participated in the online meeting of the members of the European University Association (EUA).

The meeting was attended by the representatives of 20 Ukrainian higher education institutions that are EUA members. At the meeting, among other things, organizational issues regarding the participation of Ukrainian partners in the meetings of the EUA General Assembly were discussed, as well as promising ways of further support for Ukraine and Ukrainian higher education institutions. The report of Professor Maurizio Tira (University of Brescia, Italy), who will run for the Presidency of the EUA at the General Assembly this year, was heard.

Scientists of PSMU actively participated in the discussion of possibilities of cooperation with EUA. Answering the questions of Professor Igor Kaidashev, Professor Maurizio Tira emphasized solidarity with Ukraine during the russian invasion, announced the suspension of membership of russian higher education institutions in the European University Association, and also outlined the current directions of support for Ukrainian higher education institutions in the educational space of the European Union.
