The 30th Anniversary Congress of the Slovak Cardiology Society: PSMU Professor Among Participants and Speakers

From October 8 to 10, in the town of Šamorín (Slovakia), located near Bratislava on the banks of the Danube River, the 30th Anniversary Congress of the Slovak Cardiology Society took place.

The Head of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 2 of Poltava State Medical University, Professor Ivan Katerenchuk, participated in the Congress and delivered an oral presentation that generated great interest among the participants.

Professor Katerenchuk also presented the anniversary publication “Department of Internal Medicine No. 2 (on the occasion of its 50th anniversary)” and the textbooks prepared by the department to the President of the Congress — President of the Slovak Heart Association, PhD, Professor Milan Luknár, and to PhD, Professor Robert Hatala, Member of the Royal College of Cardiology and Certification of Cardiology, Head of the Department of Cardiology and Angiology, and Director of the Center for Arrhythmia and Stimulation of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and the Slovak Medical University in Bratislava.

The new information obtained at the Congress regarding modern European standards for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases will be integrated into both the educational process and clinical practice.
