The “Osvita UA” information resource represented higher education institutions of Poltava and Poltava region in the consolidated ranking of higher education institutions of Ukraine in 2020.

According to it, the Academy was ranked first among the HEIs of Poltava and Poltava region, 27 in the overall ranking and 44 in the “TOP 2020 Ukraine”!

We are delighted with the success and recognition of our colleagues at the high national level and their prestigious awards for many years of victorious work. All this is a strong confirmation of the high level of professionalism of the faculty staff of our Academy, public demand for fundamental training of future highly qualified medical personnel and, of course, updated rating data show that our Academy, which will soon celebrate its centennial anniversary, is proud of not only the deserved resulting achievements from the long-term scientific and teaching work, but also is gaining new leadership positions in medical education! So we will keep and move on to gain more success!”, the Rector of UMSA, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan says.

The ranking of universities according to Scopus 2021indicators ranked the Academy 82 among the best 190 universities in Ukraine.

The results of the rating are based on the citation indicators of scientific works published by educational institutions or their faculty members.

The Scopus database constantly indexes more than 20,000 scientific publications in technical and medical sciences, and humanities. The database also includes publications of scientific journals, conference proceedings and books.

In the ranking table, Ukrainian universities are ranked according to the Hirsch index - a quantitative indicator based on the number of scientific publications and the number of citations.

The rating was compiled by the Osvita.ua based on the results of scientometric monitoring of the subjects of scientific and publishing activity of Ukraine according to the April 2021indicators of the SciVerse Scopus database.
