All famous researchers, scientists with a world name once started from the student bench at their native Alma Mater. All of them also took their first steps under the sensitive guidance of their mentors - Teachers. And then they confidently paved the way to recognition. This was discussed in the welcoming speech of the professors of the PSMU to their young future colleagues, and for now to the students, the winners at the genuine Celebration of introduction into the great science - the process of awarding and congratulating inquisitive and tenacious beginners who won by presenting their work at IV INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL STUDENT'S CONFERENCE IN POLTAVA (IMEDSCOP-2023). It gathered students from medical higher education institutions of Ukraine, namely: Poltava State Medical University, Donetsk National Medical University, I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Kharkiv National Medical University, Odesa National Medical University, Bogomolets National Medical University, Faculty of Medicine of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, as well as Medical University Sofia, Bulgaria, University of Jember, Phillipines, India, etc. The long-awaited moment of awarding the winners came on March 23, 2023 and took place at the Plenary Session of the IV International Student Scientific Conference INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL STUDENT`S CONFERENCE IN POLTAVA (IMEDSCOP-2023) at PSMU.
Before that, 187 reports were heard in 15 sections. And although all of them were, as noted by the members of the jury, interesting, meaningful and certainly aroused scientific interest, the best of them deserved separate recognition. Therefore, the winners were determined and awarded with Diplomas of the I, II, and III degrees, as well as valuable gifts, which included textbooks, monographs, and copies of modern scientific literature.

The winners were solemnly congratulated by the Rector of the University, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan. He called them colleagues, noting at the same time that he considers them to be such because they are already engaged in science to one degree or another. And this means that the first successful steps have been taken. "Don't stop as you are! We, your teachers, are with you and are always ready to help! So go only forward, to future success!" - he finished the speech. The First Vice-Rector of PSMU, Professor Valentyn Dvornyk, thanked everyone who contributed to the celebration of the Festival of Science at the university and gathered its connoisseurs into one friendly scientific family. He also urged the winners not to stop and keep opening new horizons in science.
During the conference, scientific supervisors and members of the jury also talked about many interesting things. Among them is the online connection with the student, the winner from Morocco, whose report in the online format was recognized as the best, as told by the Head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities Tetiana Leshchenko, and in the "Pathology" section for the first time to objectify the evaluation of the invitation of stakeholders, leading specialists from the Poltava Regional Bureau of Pathology and the Poltava Regional Bureau of Forensic Medicine and other equally significant and meaningful episodes.
All this proves the main thing: the festival of science at the university took place at a high level with the involvement of motivated and caring participants, Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Igor Kaidashev noted in his speech.
"We are interested that our best students will stay with PSMU! To do this, you will already receive the recommendations of the SSS Council for further admission to postgraduate studies, so that you will have the opportunity to continue the research that you have started today! Work on yourself, and in the future, you can enlarge our scientific and teaching team. We will wait for you!" - concluded Igor Kaidashev, addressing to the winners.
The event was over, and scientific research, as you know, has no limits. And they will still find their mark in the future works of young researchers.
So, it has just began!
