On May 26, 2021 the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry of Poltava State Medical University hosted the clinical stage of the annual International Clinical Competition for dental restoration for students of 4-5 courses of the Global Clinical Case Contest. It has been initiated by the Dentsply Sirona in 166 universities around the world.

Previously, in April 2021, Ivan Popovych, DMSc, the opinion Leader of Dentsply Sirona, gave the lecture on-line with practical recommendations, clarity of clinical cases of application of restoration materials CeramX, SDR, brand new adhesive systems, matrix system Palodent Plus. Under the requirements of the competition the HEI  (in Ukraine only a few HEIs are participants of the competition) presents three best clinical cases of restoration, made by students in patients with damaged teeth with Class II cavities. Subsequently, the professionalism of students’ restoration of the patient's lateral teeth is assessed by the international jury on the photo posters with the stages of restoration submitted before June 1.
The winner from Ukraine has the right to defend his/her work in English in the international final, which will take place on June 24, 2021.
