On February 21, 2024, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 of PSMU hosted the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty "Obstetrics and Gynecology". 14 students in their 4-6 years of study of Medical Faculties took part.

The competition was held in a friendly businesslike atmosphere.

The participants of the Olympiad were offered 3 types of work in the specialized subject: computer testing, solving clinical situational tasks and practical skills on phantoms in a stimulation class. The future physicians demonstrated a high level of knowledge, clinical thinking and manual skills, which pleased the faculty members, who made great efforts to train these talented young people, who are so necessary for our country today!

The results of the Olympiad were discussed at a meeting of the Department and the winners were determined.

The first place was taken by Kateryna Shumylo, a sixth-year student of the 8th group, the second place by Antonina Grechyshnikova of the 1st group, and the third place by the sixth-year students of the International Faculty of the 31st group. The winners received textbooks from the staff of the Department that will be useful to future obstetricians and gynecologists in their practical work.
