On October 21-22, the Simulation Center of Poltava State Medical University once again hosted a training session for the trainings of Junior Trainers as part of the LIFESTRAND project under the Erasmus+ program. This time, the participants of the training were faculty members of various departments of PSMU, who will subsequently teach first aid skills to the civilian population. The training was conducted by senior trainers Volodymyr Koka and Ihor Pratsko, lecturers of the Department of Disaster Medicine and Military Medicine, Yuliia Cherniavska, Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics No. 1 with Neonatology and Yevhenii Chip, Assistant Professor of the Department of Surgery No.3.
The training program included both theoretical and practical components, with hands-on practice in basic life support, providing assistance to trauma victims, patients with stroke, heart attack, allergic reactions, and seizures, as well as methods for stopping life-threatening bleeding. The participants successfully completed the training and received Certificates of Junior Trainers.
