On December 5, 2024, a working meeting was held to discuss the organization and conduct of the Objective Structured Practical (Clinical) Examination (OSPE/OSCE) for the "Medicine" and "Pediatrics" educational programs. The meeting was co-chaired by Professor Ihor Skrypnyk, the guarantor of the "Medicine" program, and Professor Tetiana Krшuchko, the guarantor of the "Pediatrics" program. Participants included faculty deans, department heads, and those responsible for conducting the OSPE/OSCE.
Associate Professor Oksana Sarhosh, responsible for preparing the OSPE/OSCE for both programs, emphasized the key changes introduced by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine regarding the exam's implementation.
Associate Dean of Medical Faculty №1, Associate Professor Yaroslav Rybalka, provided information on the specifics of preparing for the OSPE/OSCE-1 for the "Medicine" and "Pediatrics" programs.
The meeting addressed the following issues:
The structure of the OSPE/OSCE matrix.
Content of tasks and the algorithm for conducting the certification process.
The proposed schedule for the exam and its technical support.
Evaluation criteria during the OSPE/OSCE, emphasizing the importance of academic integrity among students during the exam.
Special attention was given to the exam regulations, particularly concerning its adaptation for international students. The meeting also discussed the role of the appeals commission, the importance of pre-exam consultations, and the organization of self-study activities for students throughout the certification period. Ensuring the accessibility of information for students via the university's information resources was highlighted as a key priority.
