On March 31, 2022, the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences held a round table to mark the World Day against Cyber Censorship.
First- and fourth- year students of the International Faculty took an active part in the event in the format of a zoom conference. During the virtual meeting, the participants discussed the political, psychological, socio-philosophical and legal aspects of censorship on the World Wide Web. In particular, the definition of this phenomenon was given, the main trends of its spread were traced, the legal mechanisms of counteraction and prevention of cyber censorship were characterized. In a separate report, students analyzed the peculiarities of the formation of the restriction of the Internet by the government of the Russian Federation with regard to its aggression against Ukraine.
