On November 21, 2024, the inaugural edition of the international THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025 was published (http://www.timeshighereducation.com/interdisciplinary-science-rankings), created in association with Schmidt Science Fellows. This ranking includes 749 higher education institutions from 92 countries, a record for a first edition.

Poltava State Medical University achieved reporter status, recognizing its accomplishments in scientific research. In total, 11 Ukrainian universities were included in the ranking, with an additional 15 Ukrainian institutions with the reporter status, highlighting their active involvement in scientific projects and growth potential.

The ranking is based on 11 performance indicators across three key areas:

Contribution (funding);

Process (project success metrics, administrative support, and promotion);

Outcomes (research quality, publications, and reputation).
