Traditionally, the first December annual meeting of the “Meridians of Friendship” Language Club was held at the Educational and Research Center for Foreign Citizens Training. Students, who have just started learning the language, talked about themselves and their home countries, and teachers introduced them to the Academy, the city of Poltava and Ukraine.

This year, for the first time, the Meet & Greet event was held online. Each group and each student gave the presentation about themselves and their preferences, watched videos about the Academy, life and studies of international students in their first year of stay in Ukraine.

“Despite the quarantine restrictions, made under the COVID-19 pandemic, we feel like one family, learn the language to join the freshmen student community of the Academy next year”, the members of the club have summed up their impressions of this extracurricular event.
