4th - and 5th-year students of the Dental Faculty have returned to the routine, offline, mode of learning.  Currently, they are training in the phantom class of the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry, unique for students of the Dental Faculty in Ukraine, as the skills of manual and mechanical removal of dental plaque, curettage of periodontal pockets are practiced here on special models and with special certified hand tools available for training in Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy only.  The relevance of such skills of future dental professionals during dental appointments on periodontal diseases has increased especially under COVID-19 pandemic, when the use of ultrasound technology is very limited and requires special tactics.
