n February 11, 2026, the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the academic discipline “Infectious Diseases” was held, bringing together students interested in advanced studies of clinical infectology, modern diagnostic methods and the prevention of infectious diseases.
Students from the 5th and 6th years of Medical Faculty No. 1, Medical Faculty No. 2, and the International Faculty participated in the competition.
The jury, led by Professor Tetiana Koval, Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology at Poltava State Medical University highlighted the participants’ excellent level of preparation.
After reviewing the results and tallying the scores, the winners of the first stage were determined:
1st place – Yaroslav Vasiuta (Group 3N, 6th year of study, Medical Faculty No. 2)
2nd place – Dmytro Horobets (Group 4, 5th year of study, Medical Faculty No. 1)
3rd place – Yulia Lutsenko (Group 2, 6th year of study, Medical Faculty No. 1)
3rd place – Mili Biswas (Group 13, 6th year of study, International Faculty)
