The purpose of short-term scholarship programmes from the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) is to ensure the international exchange of knowledge about cancer (research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment), as well as professional development in this field. All programme participants are encouraged to use the acquired knowledge to strengthen the fight against cancer in their countries.
Specialists in oncology and laboratory diagnostics, clinicians and nurses working in oncology departments can participate in the programme. Applications from students and graduate students of medical HEIs (Higher Educational Institutions) are not accepted.

Scholarship amount: up to USD 3,400 (including flight and accommodation fees)
Period: 1 month. It is possible to extend the internship period up to 2 months in the case of securing funding by the programme participant or with funds provided by another organization.
